We are delighted to add this cracking Mehmas colt to the string for the 2023 season. He was purchased at the Goffs Breeze up sales and will be trained by Nigel Tinkler.

Mehmas was one of the most consistent and toughest 2-year-olds of his generation. A winner or placed in each of his 8 starts at 2. He was the winner of the July Stakes Gr.2 and the Vintage Stakes Gr.2, the most anticipated juvenile races of the early racing season during the famous Newmarket July and Glorious Goodwood Festivals. 2nd only to Churchill in the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes Gr.1, also placed in the Middle Park Stakes Gr.1. He is by proven Sire of Sires Acclamation, out of the prolific family of Classic horses Avenir Certain, Luso, Warrsan and Needle Gun.

The sire has been a revelation at stud with the likes of the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes and Gr.2 Richmond Stakes winner SUPREMACY, top Gr. 1-winning filly GOING GLOBAL and back-to-back Gr. 2 Gimcrack Stakes winners MINZAAL (later winner of the G1 Betfair Sprint Cup as a 4yo) and LUSAIL, alongside other top-class 2yos CATURRA and PERSIAN FORCE.

The dam – Three Choirs is by Rock of Gibraltar. She was placed twice at 2 and 3 years of age.

This colt did a nice breeze and we feel he will be a nice 2 year old.
