Corinthia Knight scores again at Pontefract

Corinthia Knight made it 2 wins from his last 2 runs at Pontefract to defy top weight in what was a gutsy performance from the Archie Watson trained 6 year old.

From the start, Hollie cajoled Corinthia into a share of the lead. Rounding the home bend, he looked to be under pressure but he fended off all comers in the final 2 furlongs to go on to score with 10 stone, 6 pound on his back. What a marvelous performance of guts and ability.

This was his 14th career win, and what a career its has been. 3 year old all weather champion, 4th at the Breeders Cup, a listed winner in France, races in Canada & Sweeden.

He has been a revelation this season and still loves his racing. Archie and his team must take huge credit for the way he’s been managed. Hollie gets on superbly with him and he is a willing partner. A big well done to his owners and all his followers, he aint done yet.
