The Adrian Keatley trained Wobwobwob won in fine style today at York under a excellent ride from Tom Marquand. This was the 3rd success from 8 starts for this progressive son of Prince Of Lir.
He jumped well from the gates and was prominent throughout. Travelling well in the home straight, Tom asked for maximum effort just outside the 2 furlong pole and Wob responded going clear to win by over 3 lengths.
Marquand said: “Off a light weight, you’re more conscious of the fact you can probably get away with using a little bit more gas earlier than you usually would.
“He’s a really genuine little horse. I was expecting them to come chasing at the two pole and all he did was dig deep and get away from them.
“It was a top performance off a pretty nice run at Newmarket last time.
This was a fantastic win for his owners at a big meeting and he is clearly a horse that is moving in the right direction.
Well done to Adrian and all of his team on this well deserved success.
