Sheriff Garrett bolts up at Hexham!

Sheriff Garrett notched up his 5th career success at Hexham’s 8th of May meeting, a nice performance from a tough dual purpose horse!

The Lawman gelding jumped off in the middle of the pack and settled nicely. Sheriff travelled well throughout the race but with a couple of hurdles to go it was clear the race was between Sheriff and Laskadine. Jumping the last Sheriff put in a nice jump and found plenty on the run in to win by a cosy 4 1/4 lengths!

Well done to all his owners on your success, he’s been a good horse; he clearly relished the conditions and hurdles have been the making of him! Thank you and well done to Tim Easterby, Jamie Hamilton who gave him a nice ride and everyone at Great Habton!

Sheriff Garrett was purchased by the Ontoawinner buying team and Tim Easterby at the 2016 Goffs Breeze-ups Sale for £28,000!
