Wobwobwob made his visit to Ayr a winning won when landing the Silver Cup under a fantastic ride from Holly Doyle.
He was well supported in the betting throughout the day and was sent off a 9/2 favourite for the 25 runner event.
Wob was re-shod at the start as he lost a hind shoe on the way down, he was as cool as a cucumber throughout which is more than could be said for the Ontoawinner crew in the stands.
He was racing towards the rear of the field in the early stages of the contest, at the half way marker, Hollie began to make ground and she gave him the perfect ride to lead in the last 100 yards and land the spoils.
The Ayr Gold Cup festival has always been a special place for us. Fast Shot placed 2nd in a Silver Cup. Flying Pursuit came 3rd in a Gold Cup in 2018 and Staxton won the Silver Cup in 2021. Quiet Reflection also won the listed Harry Roseberry as a 2 year old there, there are too many memories to name.
Landing this race for a second time was very special indeed. Next up – Ayr Gold Cup.
A huge well done to principal owner Andy Finneran and all the team at Adrians. What a magnificent success.
Temper Trap won his 3rd consecutive race yesterday evening at Ripon under a fine ride from Alex Jary.
He was looking to follow up on impressive victories at both Doncaster and Hamilton in recent weeks and was drawn in stall 7 for the 7 runner event.
Alex was happy to hold him up in the early stages of the contest, at the 3 marker, he began to make smooth headway and took the lead with 2 furlongs to go. He went on to score impressively by a couple of lengths, winning the same race for the 2nd time at Ripon.
It was the 12th career victory for the Tim Easterby trained 6 year old and judging by the performance, there is plenty more to come from him. He has been a fantastic syndicate horse for his owners and for Ontoawinner.
Well done to Tim and his staff on another fantastic win.

Paddy’s Day – Nigel Tinkler
He was 2nd on his last start and looks ready to win now. He was gelded after we purchased him at the HIT sales earlier this year. He looks a sure fire improver for the season ahead and will be a great Saturday horse for his owners. Shares start at £840 per 2.5%.
He was bought from Gorresbridge breeze up sales and is in training with Richard Fahey. He is impressing in his working and is not far off a run. He could be a classy horse for the year ahead. Shares start at £1875 per 2.5%.
This horse is available lease only with no upfront cost, shares start at £85 per month per 2.5%. He is a half brother to our legendary performer – Flying Pursuit. He is in training with Tim Easterby who knows the family very well.
Destined made her first start of the year winning one at Redcar today.
The daughter of Havana Grey had placed on both starts at 2, she was runner up on her debut at Ripon over 6 furlongs and followed that up with a 3rd place at Newcastle over the same distance.
Connor Beasley was aboard the Michael Dods trained filly for todays race and she had to overcome a poor draw in stall 15 for the 15 runner event.
She was very smartly away and Connor sat her in 3rd position, one off the rail for the first 4 furlongs of the race. Just past the 2 marker, Connor asked for maximum effort from the filly and she went on to win, ears pricked by just over 3 lengths.
Well done to all of the team at Michaels and all of her owners on a great win.
Check out our latest purchase below, we are currently active at the sales and will be adding more horses in the coming days
Another Baar made his first start of 2023 a winning one this evening at Ripon under an enterprising ride from Ryan Sexton.
The son of Mayson was making his first start in a handicap and was drawn in stall 2 for the 11 runner event.
Low draws were the place to be on the day at Ripon and Ryan bounced Another Baar out and headed straight to the far rail. He led from pillar to post and landed the spoils at a well backed 5/1.
Another Baar was still a bit green today but looks an improver for the season ahead.
Well done to Andy, Richard and all the team at Adrians on the win.

Quiet Affair (Equiano x Freckles) – Amy Murphy
Amy reports that this filly is coming along great and is one of the more forward fillies in the yard. She has done some stalls work and plenty of upside’s work. she could be ready to run in April. She is a nice filly at this stage. Last Few Shares Remaining
He is very well. He does everything right and we’re very pleased. He looks a nice sort of colt at this stage. He is now doing upsides work and leads the other 2y0s in work. Shares start at £1000 per 2.5%
She’s on the walker and is growing and filling out. She’s a smart mover with a fantastic page. This is a very well put together racy filly. She is from a great family of black type horses. She will have good residual value as a mare when she has finished her racing career. Shares start at £900 per 2.5%
She’s growing into a very nice filly and shares start at a very reasonably priced £625 per 2.5%. This smashing filly is out of an unbeaten mare that raced in the Ontoawinner colours – Bournville. Bournville, by Casamento won her only 2 starts.
This Colt offers an inexpensive route into ownership but offers brilliant value. He goes into training with Jessica Macey, who for us is a trainer on the up. This Colt has the look of a typical Mayson, we’ve done well with Mayson’s before for little money such as Raydiance, a £7k purchase who was a Listed winner at 2, Lady Calcaria who won a £25k fillies handicap and Shallow Hal, Class 2 winner. We think this Colt is good value for money and worth a second look. Shares start at £300 per 2.5%
We have a lovely bunch of 2 year old’s for the year ahead. Below are some recent videos and updates on some of the team. Click on the links below for the full profile & breeding pages.
Equiano x Freckles – Amy Murphy
Check out the latest video of the Equiano filly from Amy this week. She visited Warren Hill for the first time and is thriving in her work. She’s a forward , strong filly and we’re looking forward to the Spring and hopefully a few trips to France to see her work or race. She is cantering upsides now and goes well. She’s also GBB bonus registered so we have a few options with her. Shares start at £1000 per 2.5%
