Chelsea Annie breaks her maiden at Ayr
Chelsea Annie made her 3rd racecourse start today at Ayr in the 7 furlong maiden with Sam James taking the mount aboard the Adrian Keatley trained daughter of Mehmas.
Only 4 runners lined up for what looked a competitive maiden.
In the early stages of the race, Sam was happy to hold Chelsea Annie at the rear of the field. As they rounded the bend for home, Sam maneuvered Chelsea to the outside of the pack. He asked for maximum effort 2 out and she quickly went into a share of the lead. She always looked to be in control and went on to score by just under 2 lengths.
She is a filly who is progressing nicely and did the job well today. A big well done to her owners and all at Adrian’s yard on your deserved success.
